Selena Gomezs alleged stalkers order extended

Selena Gomezs alleged stalker has had his temporary restraining order extended.

A judge ruled Thomas Brodnicki who is currently locked away in a Los Angeles hospital on a 5150 psychiatric hold must stay at least 100 yards away from the 19-year-old star until January 6 2012, when another hearing is scheduled to take place.

Because he is on 5150 psychiatric hold - which can be enforced if a person is deemed to have a mental disorder which makes them a danger to themselves and/or others Brodnicki did not appear in court this morning (23.11.11) to argue his case against the order.

According to E! News, Judge William Stewart expressed concern day that Brodnicki may be denied his right to due process by not being able to appear at the hearing and defend himself.

He said: "It's a basic due process right and the court isn't satisfied as he has been granted that right."

However, Selenas lawyer Blair Berk informed the court that Brodnicki has had many opportunities to contact the court and ask for a continuance and argued for a three-year restraining order.

But the judge decided to just extend the temporary restraining order until the next hearing.

Brodnicki - who allegedly told a therapist God had ordered him to kill the Disney starlet recently spoke of his obsession with Selena and said they would one day be together.

He said: "I'm very anti-material ... I don't like even touching anything that isn't Selena Gomez.

"Selena Gomez and I are the holy chosen ones of God. I'm not overly concerned if I meet (Selena) in the flesh because it may be like scripture says ... 'No man has seen the face of God' ... Maybe us being together is too much like seeing the face of God."
