Selena Gomez felt extreme fear when her stalker, Thomas Brodnicki, threatened to kill her. The man stalked the young celebrity between the months of July and October, which led to Gomez requesting a restraining order.

According to Yahoo! OMG!, the judge dropped the felony stalking charge against Brodnicki at a November hearing after determining that the prosecutors hadnt proven he had caused any fear for Gomez.

Gomez was not pleased with this result. She still felt a great fear towards the man and requested to have the temporary restraining order that was in place stay for a longer period of time.

While the judge would not grant Selena a 3-year restraining order, he did lengthen the temporary one until January 6, the day of the next hearing. Brodnicki is required to stay 100 yards away from the Wizards of Waverly Place star.

One hundred yards may not seem like a lot of distance, but Gomez is feeling comforted by Brodnickis current location.

E! Online reported that Brodnicki is being held on a 5150 psychiatric hold at a county hospital. Efforts are under way to place him under a conservatorship.

Selena Gomez should have nothing to be worried about. For now at least.
