Selena Gomez: 'I can't wait to get back to music'
The 'Hit the Lights' singer has focused on acting projects such as Spring Breakers so far this year, but she's told E! News that she is very excited to record her fourth album.
"This is the first year I haven't put out music I miss it," Gomez commented.
She added of her upcoming fourth studio LP: "I think this is going to be the biggest one for me personally. I want to be able to write about things I've never talked about before and tell a story with this album because I've never actually had time to go in and do that. I've never worked on a song for more than two days."
She also promised the LP won't be a "tell-all" account of her relationship with boyfriend Justin Bieber.
"It's going to be more of something that people could say, 'It could be that or it could be this or it could be that'," she explained.
"At the end of the day I only make my music because I want it to be really fun and if I could have people dance to! it, rel ate to it, have a good time, that's all I want."
Gomez and her backing band the Scene's 2011 record When the Sun Goes Down reached the top three on the US album chart.
Her next acting project Hotel Transylvania opens on September 21 in the US and on October 12 in the UK.
