Selena Gomez lusts for painter in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' parody video

Selena Gomez has ditched Justin Bieber for a repulsive painter in a parody video of hit erotic fiction Fifty Shades of Grey.

In the Funny or Die clip, the Disney star falls for a handyman (Nick Kroll) who sports boils and repeatedly coughs up phlegm.

"Who was this gorgeous guy in front of me?" she asks in a dreamy voiceover. "His eyes were staring deep into mine, I could feel my cheeks getting flushed - I hoped he didn't notice."

Poking fun at her relationship with Bieber, Gomez later says: "I didn't want him to go, I felt a pang in my stomach. I'd never felt like this about a man before."

However, the guest is only an admirer of Gomez's ability to carry paint cans thanks to her "thick frame", adding when he leaves that she "full-on creeped [him] out".

The title - 'Fifty Shades of Blue' - and lustful theme of the 19-year-old's video is influenced by E L James's bestselling novel, which has caused controversy for its explicit sex scenes and depiction of BDSM.

Fifty Shades of Grey was originally developed from a piece of Twilight fanfiction. The film rights to the book were purchased by Universal and Focus back in March.
