Justin admits that girlfriends can be problematic

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been dating for over a year

The UK may have Justin Bieber fever, but there's one person who isn't happy with him: girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Justin, 18, previewed his new album Believe to journalists at Notting Hill's Supperclub last week and despite having sprouted a few inches since we last saw him, the nave star dropped himself in it when he talked about Selena, 19.

Asked if he's a good boyfriend, he laughed: 'I am. It's all about being honest and patient with girls... because sometimes they can be a headache.'

Ouch!

And it seems Selena can't even expect flashy gifts from her man.

Justin said: 'Girls would rather have love than gifts. Something from the heart, like a picnic.'

Um, Justin, we can safely say we'd prefer diamonds to a few soggy sandwiches.
