Selena Gomez Covers 'Cry Me a River': Better Than Bieber's?
A single Selena Gomez was ready to send a message over the weekend with a cover of Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River."
Months after parting ways with Justin Bieber, the singer-actress took the stage at UNICEF's New York charity concert with an acoustic version of Timberlake's 2002 solo hit. With flowers in her hair and a smile on her face between verses, Gomez hardly looked like she's been wiping away tears.
"O.K., enough of that," she said as the crowd began to cheer, changing the subject to her "really cool" new film, the Harmony Korine-directed "Spring Breakers." The R-rated drama is due in March.
Gomez hasn't been the only one to turn to the track in the wake of the split: Bieber himself covered the song in November after their break-up began making headlines.
