When we last heard from the hormone-fueled emotional rollercoaster that is Justin Bieber and Selena Gomezs relationship, pop musics most adorably fickle couple were spending their Christmas holidays together in a secluded chalet in Park City, Utah, after a day of double dating with pals Taylor Swift and One Directions Harry Styles.

But mere days later, as the clock struck twelve on 2013, the two couples could not have been on more different paths.

According to TMZ, while Haylor were smooching in the heart of New Yorks Times Square celebration, Jelena were in the midst of a blow-out argument in Mexico that ended with both parties celebrating the new year alone in different cities.

According to sources, Bieber and Gomez flew to Mexico to celebrate New Years Eve but got into an argument on December 30 that was so brutal that they broke up there and then. TMZ reports that Gomez left Mexico that same day, while Justin stewed for another 24 hours before heading to Los Angeles on New Years Eve.

Further proof can be found in the Canadian crooners actions on New Years Day. Bieber was spotted welcoming 2013 at Roscoes Chicken and Waffles in Hollywood, downing his sorrows in battered fowl after allegedlyindulgingin Americas finest wacky tobacky.

Meanwhile, his pal was being pulled over for a traffic violation and his stalker photographer was run over.

TMZ reports Bieber and Gomez have not spoken nor seen each other since their rumble in the Mexican jungle.
