Selena Gomez had to cancel two holiday shows this past weekend due to a family emergency, but while the shows have been postponed, 19-year-old Gomez is reportedly still set to perform on MTVs NYE in NYC 2012 special hosted by Demi Lovato and Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey in Times Square on New Years Eve.
E! Online, which reported that Gomezs family emergency was that Mandy Teefey, Selenas mother, suffered a miscarriage, reports that Gomez is still a confirmed performer on the MTV special, joining Mac Miller, J Cole, Jason Derulo and Demi Lovato.
Following the New Years Eve performance, the Who Says singer will perform at a rescheduled concert for 106.1 KISS FM Jingle Bell Bash in Seattle, which will be announced on Jan. 6.
"Her family is of the utmost importance to us, and we want to respect her space during an important time with her family," said KISS FM on their website, adding that Ryan Tedder of One Republic also had to pull out of the show. Selena Gomez and Ryan Tedder are close with our station, and we want to respect them and their families.
The singer and actress also still has concerts scheduled for late January, according to Billbord.
For now, Selena is staying close with her family. According to The Daily Mail Justin Bie! ber has been supportive during the difficult time. He recently visited Selena and her family in the hospital.
