Selena Gomez Cancels Two Gigs After Mum's Miscarriage

Selena Gomez has been forced to cancel two concerts in America, following the sad news that her mother reportedly suffered a miscarriage.

According to E! Online, Gomez scrapped two Christmas-themed shows on Saturday and Sunday (17th-18th December) in Chicago and Seattle, citing a 'family emergency' as her reason.

Reports have now suggested that her mum, Mandy Teefey, had lost her unborn baby, which would have been the Hit The Lights singer's first sibling and Mandy's first baby with her second husband, Brian Teefey.

Gomez announced via her Twitter page last month that her 35-year old mother was expecting a baby, tweeting: "Momma and Brian are finally letting me share the news... My mommys carrying my baby brother or sister :) I'm the happiest girl in the world!"

It is thought Selena, who is dating teen heartthrob Justin Bieber, found out about her mother's miscarriage on Friday (16th December) while appearing at Power 106's Cali Christmas 2011 concert in Los Angeles and left immediately for home.

A spokesperson for Gomez is yet to respond to the reports. Our thoughts are with Selena and her family at this sad time.
