Now this is how you do Christmas elegance. Katy Perry and Selena Gomez both arrived at the UNICEF Snowflake Ball in New York City wearing floor length gowns of glitter and gorgeousness.
Katy opted for a deep navy number with sheer cut out details and a cape to match (which had we been her, we probably would have run around the room like batman with after a few vinos of course).

Selena went for a halterneck black number with gold embellishment detail, which was also backless and pretty! damn hot.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on the current state of their relationship - they were last seen at the hospital together ), Selenas on-off man-boy Justin Bieber wasnt there to appreciate the sexy back.

Looks like Katy had, er, her back, though because as well as posing up for some red carpet shots, she popped over to Selenas table for a little chat.
Katy of course is friends with Justin, so perhaps she was trying to find out what the score is. Or maybe she was giving her some boy advice. Or perhaps she was just telling her not to eat that ropey looking salad.
