Selena Gomez's bad girl days are over. The 19-year-old took on a different role than she has played before when she was cast in Harmony Korine's Spring Breakers, which also stars Ashley Benson, Rachel Korine, James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens.
"It's a different character than I have ever played before. It's a different kind of vibe I think than people are used to seeing in me," she said prior to shooting. "What you're going to see is more raw, I think."
When shooting began in Florida, Selena started posting photos from the set of the film via Twitter that showed her bad girl side. The film follows a group of friends who get involved in a robbery as an attempt to pay for their spring break trip, but end up going to jail. Selena plays Faith in the film and expressed how much fun it was to be bad.
"Lol I'm so lame. Having way too much fun getting arrested," she wrote.
But the actress is no longer bad girl Faith. Filming just wrapped in Florida.
"That's a wrap on Faith for Spring Breakers!!!! Whew craziest experience but amazing. Can't wait to see it..." she tweeted on Friday.
Now, she can only wait until it's released to see how her fans react. She says, though, since it was"totally different than anything I've done before," she had to capture the moment.
"That's why I took so many pictures!" she told E! News at the Kids' Choice Awards over the weekend. "I was like Why am I so excited to be arrested?' But, I was super excited."
Selena is already on to her next project.
"Spring breakers is done now hairs done for the next movie! :)" she tweeted with a photo of ! her new extensions.
Her new 'do is reportedly for the film Aftershock.
